The Ace 400i metal detector incorporates the latest Garrett technology. This device is ideal for searching for coins, relics, jewelry, and all kinds of treasures. It features improved iron discrimination, manual ground balance, graphic target analysis, one-touch operation, iron tones, pinpoint function, and more accurate target identification with numbers.

Higher Search Frequency
The Ace 400i, with its 10 KHz, has a higher search frequency than the earlier Ace models (6.5 kHz - Ace 150, Ace 250, Euro Ace, Ace 200i). The advantage of this higher search frequency of 10 kHz is improved sensitivity to objects of low and medium conductivity such as gold, lead, etc.
DD Search Coil for Good Depth Range
The 400i is equipped with the Proformance DD search coil 21.5 x 28 cm (8.5" x 11") for additional depth performance and precise pinpointing. This search coil reduces the negative effects of mineralized soils. You will be able to achieve a good depth range. Up to 35 cm for coin-sized objects, up to a maximum of 125 cm for large objects.
Numeric Target Identification (1-99)
The Ace 400i metal detector features both segment identification and numeric target identification (1-99). As soon as the metal detector detects an object, a sound is heard and a number appears in the center of the display. This "conductivity value" allows conclusions to be drawn about the type of metal. (For example, number 76 Euro coin, number 20 iron). This way you can learn the conductivity values to recognize metal objects before digging. To make it even easier, a block appears simultaneously below the segment bar at the top of the display. This tells you the type of metal, or what the object might be (e.g., iron). In addition, the Ace 400i has 3 different audio tones. A low tone for iron, a medium tone for gold and other items, and a high tone for silver.
Sensitivity and Discrimination
You can adjust the sensitivity yourself, allowing you to achieve greater depth performance. Discrimination is also adjustable. With the very precise discrimination of the Ace 300i, you can easily exclude unwanted objects, especially iron objects.
Iron Audio
The Iron Audio function allows the user to adjust the volume for iron, making the iron signal easier to hear or completely muted, so you hear no sound when iron is detected. This function contributes to better detection of iron objects. The advantage of Iron Audio over the discrimination function is that you retain depth range. If you use the discrimination function, it will always negatively affect your depth range.
Pinpoint Function
The Garrett Ace 400i has an additional pinpoint function. This is a function for precise location of objects. This allows you to find the position of the object more accurately, so you have less work digging up the object.
Notch
The Notch function offers you the possibility to discriminate very precisely. This allows you to manually discriminate entire conductivity ranges, i.e., exclude them from the search.
Frequency Switch
