Simplex New Generation 2023 Metal Detectors
The Nokta Simplex+, our absolute top-seller, has been available in three different versions since 2023. In this article, you will find out what has been improved compared to the old Simplex+ and which version is right for whom.
The new Simplex
The first question, of course, is what has changed compared to the previous Simplex+. The core features and key data of the Simplex, which are naturally the reason for its popularity, have remained the same in every version:
● Waterproof up to 3 m
● Easy operation
● Display, button, and coil lighting
● Numerical object identification
● Iron discrimination and notching
● Pinpoint function
● Vibration and audio signals
Regarding connection with wireless headphones, Nokta has replaced the predecessor's 2.4 GHz radio connection with Bluetooth®. The inexpensive Lite version comes completely without a wireless module. Furthermore, the new versions offer a lower weight than the predecessor due to an improved armrest and a slightly optimized control unit housing, and depending on the version, lighter carbon fiber rod parts are used. The Ultra version has some additional setting options that increase performance and customizability compared to the previous Simplex+.
Simplex Lite
The Simplex Lite is mainly aimed at beginners. For only €249, you get a metal detector with great quality and outstanding features for this price range. Ideal for users who are new to the hobby and want to start with an inexpensive but reliable brand detector of good quality. The SX24 search coil (24 x 15 cm), which is smaller than the other versions, offers very good precision and is therefore particularly suitable for areas with a lot of scrap and rubbish (e.g. beaches and playgrounds). At 1.2 kg, the Nokta Simplex Lite metal detector is also very suitable for children.
Simplex BT
The Simplex BT is closest to the predecessor, as it can be connected to wireless headphones just like the Simplex+, comes with a 28 cm search coil, and has the same range of functions. Thanks to the carbon lower shaft and the improvements to the control unit and armrest mentioned above, it saves almost 200 g in weight compared to its predecessor. At €299, the Nokta Simplex BT metal detector is an optimal metal detector for beginners and advanced users.
Simplex Ultra
The Nokta Simplex Ultra metal detector is equipped with additional settings compared to the BT and the previous Simplex+. Not only does it have up to 99 different detection tones, but these can also be adjusted in terms of tone thresholds, frequency, and volume. It also offers a choice between two different conductivity scales and a conductivity depth setting, allowing the stability of the conductivity values to be adapted to the specific search situation. The Simplex Ultra is available for €349 and is aimed not only at beginners and advanced users but also at experienced detectorists thanks to the additional setting options. It is available in a package with Nokta Bluetooth headphones for €429.
