Description
The world's first waterproof handheld scanner – ensuring no object is overlooked!
The new series of Nokta Security metal detectors elevates security to an entirely new level by offering advanced detection technologies and utmost reliability. The features of the NMS30 meet both NIJ Standard 0602.02 and the new NIJ Design Standard 0602.03.
With its comfortable grip, which does not extend into the detection area, and its rounded design, it moves easily over the area to be scanned without snagging on clothing. Furthermore, the NMS30 is completely waterproof and can therefore be fully submerged in water. This offers the advantage that, for example, at open-air events, scanning can continue in the rain. You can also easily clean the handheld scanner by rinsing it under the tap.
The NMS30 is designed to detect all types of metals such as iron and various precious metals. The sensitivity or detection depth is adjustable in 3 different levels. At the lowest level, sensitivity to small objects is minimized. When you set the handheld scanner to the highest level, you have maximum depth for larger objects and maximum sensitivity for small objects simultaneously.
The NMS30 can report metal objects in 3 different ways: with LEDs, sound, and vibration. The LEDs are always on and can be set in combination with sound and/or vibration. The 3 LED bars indicate the size of the detected metal object.
- 1st bar green means: Small object
- 1st bar green and 2nd bar yellow means: Medium-sized object
- 1st bar green, 2nd bar yellow, and 3rd bar red means: Large object
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bars red mean: Very large object
If you want to scan closer to the ground when scanning reinforced concrete and the scanner reacts to the ground material, you can eliminate the ground metal at the push of a button, allowing scanning of the lower legs to continue.
The NMS30 comes with rechargeable batteries that last up to 40 hours when fully charged. If the battery indicator lights up red because the batteries are almost empty, you can simply charge them on the supplied charging station without having to remove the batteries. If you want to place several charging stations next to each other and want it to look tidy, you can attach them to each other with the supplied connecting pins. And with the charging adapter with universal plugs, you can charge the handheld scanner anywhere in the world. As an emergency solution, you can always use normal AA batteries in case of a power outage.
If you do not use the handheld scanner for a while, you can lay it flat with the buttons facing up, and it will automatically switch to standby mode after 180 seconds. If the handheld scanner has been in standby mode for 35 minutes, it will switch off automatically. This reduces power consumption and saves battery life.
Its maximum sensitivity to small objects makes it an ideal device for detecting small and large nails in wood. Since it is a non-motion handheld scanner, you can locate the nails very precisely. This prevents damage to expensive saws and milling cutters in the timber industry.
- Suitable for inspecting people, but also for the timber industry to detect nails in wood.
- Highest sensitivity even for small parts.
- Fully waterproof (IP67) and protected against dust ingress.
- Operating frequency: 13 kHz
- Power supply metal detector: 2 x AA Ni-MH 2700 mAh rechargeable batteries
