Target Identification
The Ace 250 metal detector provides identification using segments. As soon as the metal detector detects an object, you hear a tone and a block simultaneously appears below the segment bar at the top of the display. This tells you the type of metal, or what the object might be (e.g., iron). In addition, the Ace 250 features three different audio tones. A low tone indicates iron, a medium tone is used for gold and other objects, and a high tone indicates silver or other highly conductive metals.
Sensitivity and Discrimination
You can adjust the sensitivity yourself to achieve greater depth. Discrimination can also be adjusted. With the Ace 250’s highly precise discrimination, you can easily exclude unwanted objects, especially iron items.
Pinpoint Function
The Garrett Ace 250 features a pinpoint function. This function enables the precise locating of objects. It allows you to determine the object’s position more accurately, so you have less work when digging it up.
Notch Function
The Notch function allows you to discriminate very precisely. This enables you to manually discriminate entire conductivity ranges, excluding them from the search.
Waterproof Search Coil
The Ace 250 features a waterproof search coil; only the display is not waterproof. You can therefore use the detector in shallow water as long as the display does not get wet. You should also protect the display with an electronics cover during rain showers.
