The Fisher FX3 Iron Magnetometer is used for metal detection, especially for finding iron objects. Weighing only 1.1 kg, it is a very light device that is very easy to operate with just one button.
It is a motion detector that can only register signals while it is in motion. After switching it on, the user simply has to walk around and wait until the detector reacts. This happens through an audible signal, which increases in pitch and volume the closer the rod gets to the target object. The Fisher FX3 is particularly sensitive to iron objects with a large surface area, strongly magnetic objects, and even longer objects that lie vertically in the ground.
