Description

The Fisher F44 is the big brother of the Fisher F11 and F22 metal detectors. It is a weather-resistant, modern metal detector from a renowned brand that is also suitable for difficult ground conditions and mineralized soil.

Compared with the F11 and F22, the F44 offers enhanced features and capabilities, as well as better depth performance. The F44 has a manual ground-balance function, a mineralization-level indicator, display illumination, and a larger search coil for additional depth. It also includes a pinpoint function, notch discrimination, and a depth indicator. Like the F22, the F44 features numerical target identification for recognizing objects and a weather-resistant design. Rain showers are therefore no problem for this high-quality mid-range metal detector!

Does the Fisher F44 have numerical target identification?

The Fisher F44 metal detector features numerical target identification (1–99). As soon as the metal detector detects an object, a number appears in the center of the display. Each number represents a specific type of metal or object (e.g., number 76 for a euro coin, number 20 for iron). This allows you to learn to identify objects. The Fisher F44 also features five-tone audio identification. The metal detector produces different tones for different types of metal, such as a high tone for silver, a low tone for iron, and a medium tone for gold.

Is the Fisher F44 suitable for searching in water?

The Fisher F44 is a weather-resistant metal detector, which means you can work in the rain without using a rain cover for the display. This is a major advantage over other detectors. The search coil is fully waterproof, so you can also search in water.

Can I filter out unwanted metals with the Fisher F44?

You can adjust the sensitivity (depth) and discrimination yourself. This allows you to discriminate against unwanted objects such as nails and bottle caps. The F44 also features a notch function, which enables even more precise metal selection.

What is the Fisher F44’s response speed, and what advantage does it offer?

This metal detector is characterized by its long range and fast response speed (recovery time). This is especially important when several objects are located directly next to one another. Most metal detectors provide only one signal. However, the Fisher F44 indicates both acoustically and visually that multiple objects are present.

How deep can I search for metal objects such as gold and silver with the Fisher F44?

The Fisher F44 has good depth performance. As with all other metal detectors, the detection range always depends on the size of the object. The larger the object, the deeper the F44 can detect it. Other factors, such as ground conditions and the type of material, also play a role. In general, the Fisher F44 can detect an object the size of a single coin at a depth of up to 35 cm, and larger objects at a maximum depth of up to 125 cm.

Battery Operation & Runtime – Fisher F44

The Fisher F44 metal detector is powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries, providing reliable power throughout its entire operating range.

With high-quality alkaline batteries, the F44 achieves an average runtime of approximately 25 to 30 hours. This makes it well suited for longer searches without frequent battery changes. For optimal performance, the use of alkaline batteries is recommended.

Brief note: Please ensure that alkaline batteries are always used.

Does the Fisher F44 have an integrated pinpoint function?

The Fisher F44 features a pinpoint function with depth indication in inches. This function helps you determine the exact position of an object, making excavation easier. During pinpointing, you can read the object’s depth in cm on the display.

Can I adjust the volume of the tones on the Fisher F44?

The Fisher F44 features volume control with 10 levels.
